The Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona welcomes the new mobile digital radiology units

FDR Nano is a very bright, light and compact X-ray portable computer that uses Fujifilm's innovative technology, the 'D-EVO II' high-sensitivity flat screen detector and the 'Virtual Grid' image processing technology which provides a high contrast image without the need to use a grid.

One of the most notable advantages of Fujifilm’s FDR Nano direct radiology equipment is that it reduces the dose children receive by almost 40% when compared to conventional analog X-ray equipment. Additionally its weight of 90kg and compact size allows its easy mobility through corridors, elevators, ICUs, rooms and crowded and small spaces throughout the hospital without the need to move patients from their rooms.

In addition the FDR Nano has a special coating called Hydro Ag + on its main parts that eliminates 99% of the bacteria that we can usually find in a hospital which makes it much easier to use in non-sterile environments as it is not necessary a complete disinfection of the equipment.

Being pediatric wards, to give a more attractive value and more friendly aesthetics to pediatric patients Pepe, Mar and Rafa have been decorated with maritime and animal themes.
